#Regional News: Guwahati, Assam, November 29, 2023: In a momentous triumph, VanitAgrata, the women empowerment cell of Assam Don Bosco University, has won the 8th eNorth East Award 2023 under the Social and Financial Category. The prestigious was conferred at the award ceremony jointly organized by the Council for Social and Digital Development (CSDD), Digital Empowerment Foundation (DEF), and North East Development Foundation at Guwahati on November 25, 2023.
The eNorth East Award, a flagship event recognizing and promoting innovative digital solutions for sustainable development in the North Eastern region since 2010, bestowed this honour upon VanitAgrata for its outstanding contributions to the empowerment of women in Assam. The cell’s initiatives, particularly the projects named ShashaktMahila and ShashaktBalika, have played a pivotal role in realizing its mission since its establishment in 2015.
Under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Gypsy Nandi, Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Applications, VanitAgrata has demonstrated exceptional dedication and commitment to uplifting women in Assam.
Dr. Nandi expressed gratitude for the recognition and emphasized that it motivates the team to continue pushing boundaries and exploring new avenues for positive change.
