#Regional News: Shillong, Meghalaya, January, 25, 2024: BrightEyeConsult, an entrepreneurship mentoring web portal was launched by Mr. B P Muktieh, ExCMD, NEDFi on the 22nd January 2024 at PRIME Hub Shillong Auditorium. The Launch was also attended by Mr. Aiban Swer, Director, MBMA and Prof. Sanjeeb Kakoty, IIM Shillong. The meeting was presided by Dr. Natalie West Dauner Kharkongor, the Founder of BrightEyeConsult.
BrightEyeConsult provides two categories of services, one is free mentoring to new entrepreneurs, small businesses and startups for a maximum period of one year per case; the other is consultancy services which include business recovery and growth, business and human rights due diligence, and promotion of green business. This platform gives preference towards building the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the north eastern states.
Mr. B P Muktieh in his Speech mentioned the significance of entrepreneurship mentoring. He also stressed the need and the importance of mentoring results. Likewise, Mr. Aiban Swer emphasized the role of entrepreneurs in building the economic development of the state. Realizing the role played by small business and startups, Government of Meghalaya has come up with PRIME, an entrepreneurship hub, Mr. Aiban added.
Dr. Natalie who is also a certified Mentor for SCORE Sandhills, USA and a former professor at IIM Shillong in her introductory speech explained in detail the vision and mission of BrightEyeConsult. The vision is “to be a driving force in shaping a vibrant global entrepreneurial landscape where individuals from diverse backgrounds can confidently pursue their business dreams, equipped with the mentorship and resources necessary to overcome challenges, innovate, and thrive”; and the mission is “to empower entrepreneurs of the north eastern states by providing accessible and impactful mentoring services, fostering a collaborative environment where knowledge, experience, and guidance converge to catalyze business success”, and to also serve as a platform to the entrepreneurship incubators and mentors to work together as a team in building the business ecosystem in the north east India in particular.
Dr. Natalie expressed her compassion towards supporting aspiring entrepreneurs, small businesses, and startups in the north east, which has led her to come out with this platform to provide mentoring along with the other 20 Mentors from north east India and New Delhi. In her Speech, she has expressed her thanks to all the twenty mentors who have come forward without any hesitancy to be part of BrightEyeconsult in providing entrepreneurship guidance, support and mentoring. She has also thanked PRIME Entrepreneurship Meghalaya for collaborating in the launch of BrightEyeConsult.
